I Tooele County population stands officially at 17,868, and Tooele City at 9,133, according to advanced reports on final population figures released this week by the Bureau of Census, on the 1960 population count. THIS MARKS a population increase of 3,232 for Tooele County with the population at standing 14,636 in 1950. In Tooele City, the increase is 1,870 in the ten year period with the population standing at 7,263 in count of 2,166 for 1960 or an increase of 629 over the 1950 figure of 1,537. HF.NDOVER has more than doubled in population in the past ten years with 609 counted in 1900 as compared to 250 people in 1950. Stockton has a decrease of 52 people with the population being 362 in 1960 and 414 in 1956. Ophir has a population of 36 in I960 as compared with 199 in 1950.
