As much as f of the two-third- one-hal- water available is wasted through incorrect watering. STEP 1. Check Distribution Uniformity (Pattern) of Your Sprinklers Remember, not all sprinklers apply the same amount of water. This is true of automatic, manual, or hose systems. To check the distribution pat tern. you will need at least have overlapping sprinklers d im.igt see if the amount of water in each is aliout the same. Make a note of those containers (areas) that have more or less water than average. Try the following suggestions to apply water more evenly: Sprinklers should 1. or brokt n sprinkler ht ids. Each unnecessary irrigation that can be eliminated will save enough water for about 10 showers, 52 baths, 52 loads of laundry, or 312 toilet flushes. For additional tips on how to irrigate more efficiently, contact your water supplier, local Utah State University Horticulture and try the test again Continue to make adjustments and run the te-- t until the system is applying water as evenly as possible. By follow ing the aliove suggestions, you will apply the maximum amount of water required by the lawn. You will also use about half of the water the average Utah homeowner uses. You can be a guy or gal. The only requirement is you need a goat, dog, sheep, horse, or steer that is willing to cooperate in the show ring at the Juab County indoor barn. The purpose of the Lead Line is to offer an opportunity for participants to show their creativity and how well they work with their animal. The age requirement is years old and a resident of Juab County. No age require9 ment for animals. This is an opportunity to dress up yourself and your animal and write a description or a story pertaining to the animal and the animals costume. Creativity is a must.
