Nearly 100 Shooters participated in the three-daevent. Participants traveled to Nephi from California, Nevada, and Wyoming for the shoot. Several local shooters did well and garnished trophies and purse money for their efforts. Event 1 on Friday was sponsored by Smith Auto and was a singles event. Winning the AA class was Bart Kirkham. The A class winner was Mike Palfreyman with a score of 99. Winning the B class was Jeff Sanders also with a score of 99. No C class shooter entered the y lG-yar- d event. The D class winner was Glen Cowan shooting a 98. Chad Greenhalgh was the high Junior with a score of 98. Roger Blake won the Veteran class with a perfect 100. High Lady was DeAnn Ore with a 95. Event 2 was sponsored by Droubay Chevrolet and was a Handicap Event. Long Yardage Champion was Wayne Giocomini. Short Yardage Champ was Christopher Mc- Daniel. High Junior was Dustin Roseman. High Veteran was Roger Blake. Winning the Lady Class was Carolyn Southerlin. Event 3 was sponsored by Pete Martin Trucking of Vernal. This event was 50 pair of doubles. Winning the AA class was Bart Kirkham with a score of 99. A class winner was Dave Boren hitting 98. B Class winner was John Hogland with a score of 97. Mike Freeman won the C class shooting a 93. Gerald Hogland won the D Class with a score of 91. High Junior was T.J. Wall and the High Veteran was Bill Curtice. High Lady was Carolyn Southerlin with a score of 77. Saturday began with the Bart Jackson Singles event; a multiple event tied to event 1 on Friday. Winning the AA class was Dave Livingston with a score of 196 of 200. High A shooter was Larry Fullwood with 198 of 200. The B class was won by Jeff Sanders hitting 198 of 200. No class C shooters entered the event. Glen Cowan won the D class with 194 of 200. High Junior was Chad Greenhalgh breaking 194 targets. High Veteran was Roger Blake with a near perfect 199 of 200. No Lady competed for the total 200 targets. 5 was the Safari Event Motel Handicap. Short Yardage Champion was Tucker Rose By Keena Casper The Mormon Handcart Pageant will be hosting a dinner on each fund-raisin- g night of the pageant, which is July 28, 2004 through July 31, 2004. The dinner will be held iri the Building at the Juab County Fairgrounds from Each night, there will be wonderful live entertainment, under the direction of Keena Casper, by different people and groups from Juab County. Keena will also emcee the entertainment and will sing each night. Wednesday, we are fortunate to have the Country Creek doggers, under the direction of Sonia Allred, come perform for us. We also will hear some fun Cowboy Poetry from Chad Winn, and some lovely pianoflute duets from Tressa Black and Diane Sperry. Savannah Behrmann and Cheyenne Howarth will also be there to satisfy the audience by singing a variety of songs. Malaree Park will join her in making the night wonderful by playing the piano. We will then be pleased to hear the Grant and Decia Anderson Family, who wall do a variety of songs for us. Following them, Brittany Webb and Lindsay Hart will entice us with lovely music. Saturday wall be full of fun as we listen again to Keena Caspers Singing Students. Charlie Williams will come to sing for us, and Brittany Webb and Lindsay Hart wall add to the night as well. We are very excited for these performers to come and entertain. We hope that the public wall come out to the dinner to, support the pageant, and to hear these wonderful talents as well.
