They defeated Altamont and South Summit and lost to Juan Diego. In the Altamont game Devin Hansen had a home run and Brett Hansen had a triple. These two led the team with RBIs. In the South Summit game, Kyle Callaway pitched a excellent game to defeat them. In the Juan Diego game Casey Jones and Mike May played some outstanding defense. Harrison Black had a big hit. Marlow Eyre and Trent Stowell each helped with some stolen bases, but in the end we came out a few runs short. Mona Elementary to hold Spring Art Carnival The Mona Elementary School PTA is sponsoring a Spring Art Carnival on Saturday, April 24. It will take place from 1 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mona City Park. The Carnival will include art projects, games a book fair, snacks, and food. Admission is free, but tickets will cost $5.00 which is good for 16 games. Bring the whole family for some springtime fun. Juab hosts 1 A2A State Drama By Melissa Hathaway JHS Correspondent Juab High School hosted 25 1A and 2A schools for the State Drama Festival on April 16-1Over 350 students par- ticipated in one-ac- t five individual plays, and event catego- ries. Juab High School was well represented. Juab presented Peg Lynchs one-ac- t play The Neglected Husbands Sew- ing Club. Cast members included: Lynley Peterson, Jade Ellison, Milinda Esplin, Brittany Webb, Jessica Ferguson, Derrick Fulton, John Terry, Tyler Olpin, Travis Warner, Travis Bowles, Royce Orme, and Lindsay Hart. The play received three superior rat- ings and Lynley Peterson was named Best Actress and Travis Warner was named Best Supporting Actor. Individual Events: In the Dramatic Interpretation category, Danielle Hathaway was a medal winner and Lynley Peterson received a superior rating. In Humorous Interpretation Spencer Banks received a medal and John Terry and Tyler Olpin received superior ratings. In Acting Travis Warner was a medal winner and Katelyn Peterson and Derrick Fulton both received superior rat- ings. In Scenes From a Play, Cari Breckenridge and Audra Moray were medal winners and Brittany Webb, Mil- inda Esplin, Jessica Ferguson and Jade Ellison received superior ratings.
