When Dustin Hopkinson came to the council to request a business license for a welding business in Mona, he also learned that the council had some concerns about his Larry Ellertson, and the moving of an irrigation line. The line was under a roadway and needed to be moved to prevent future problems from affecting the road. The line was relocated from one side of the roadway to the other so that, as it lead to the Ellertson subdivision, it would not cause future problems. Mona has an ordinance that all work done to benefit a subdivision is paid for by fath- er-in-law, AWARDS Malachi Peterson recently earned both the Gospel in Action award and the Faith in God award. Young called Ellertson the day the work was done, said Newell, and said the work would be done that day and that he would put the materials needed on his account. I helped do the labor, said Newell. We saved Larry (Ellertson) a bundle. Now he said Newell, understood, that Ellertson thought the city should be held responsible for moving the line. But the work was of no benefit to the city and the Ellertson had said in council meeting that, if the line were moved from one side of the street to the other, he would pay for the change, said Bryce Lynn, mayor. t of the Otherwise line would have been located under the road which would have been a potential problem for Ellertson in the future. He did commit to it, said Newell. The meeting was held on election night and Larry told Doran Kay, You are holding me hostage. 200-fee- said the note should have been made in the minutes that Ellertson was being commission of which he, Neilson, was chair at the time. A VERY WORTHY HELPER Genesis 2:18 By Pastor Keith E. South First BaptiXchurch And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Gen. 2:18 There is no one, this side of heaven that is more precious to me than my wife. Here in our text the word meet worthy. basically means God had created man separate from and high above the animals. This special creation demanded a partner worthy of it ? not just any creature would do, and so God made woman and PRAISE THE LORD FOR HER! God had made Adam and yet he was not complete until Eve was brought to him. The picture in the Hebrew is like cutting several oranges in half. When you pick up one half, there is only one other half that will perfectly match up to make it a complete or whole orange. There is only one woman that will make up that other half of a complete union in the eyes of God. When I am away from my wife for any length of time I feel like something is missing. There is no doubt that my wife is an anchor and stabilizing force. Because the Word of God says, But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidcLN Timothy 5:8, and In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat 3:19. Man has to work. That, by default, places heavy responsibility on the of the home. It is my wife who knows how the kids really are because she spends so much more time with them and many times tempers my reaction with mercy. The Bible is clear that the wife must be submissive to her husbandNGen. 3:17 and in a sense lose her identity to her husbands. God called their name AdamNGcn. 5:22. However, this in no way implies that the man lord over the woman. He isNo love her has Christ loved the church. It is my opinion based on observation and many hours of counseling, that if men were loving their wives like they were supposed to be, the wives would be submitting as God says they should be. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:22, Whoso findeth a w ife findeth a good thing, and obtaincth favor of the LORD. A man who has been given a wife by God has received A VERY WORTHY HELPER indeed; one that should be treasured, sacrificed for, and yes, men, pampered. The Lord Jesus is our example. Even though He was God in the flesh, the one and only Creator, the Bible says in Matthew, Even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for Men ought to minister unto their many. wives and give themselves for them. brcadTN'Gcn. second-in-comma- Learn proper form and technique Taught by experienced gymnasts Classes begin September 11th So Call Fine Family Dinning. at Kim Stephenson Open for Lunch 623-524- 1 the 7th&8th Grade Center. For that reason, said Newell, he thought the council might want to not allow Hopkinson to purchase a business license until the matter was resolved with Ellertson. Nevertheless, the council allowed Hopkinson to purchase the license because the majority opinion was that the issue of the moving of the line should be between Ellertson and Mona Irrigation Company.
