When ready to stuff the turkey, reheat the vegetables and giblets in the microwave and combine with dry ingredients. For food safety, do not stuff a turkey until its ready to be cooked. You can roast a 24 lb. Turkey in about 3 hours. DO NOT cook turkey all night at a low temperature. Cooking at low temperatures risks food poisoning. DO NOT leave cooked turkey and leftovers out for afternoonevening snacking. Refrigerate all Two hours is the maximum amount of time roasted turkey, stuffing and gravy can be left at room temperature. Leftover roasted turkey can be kept in the refrigerator and eaten within 3 to 4 days safely by people who are pregnant or elderly or have extremely low immune systems, and up to 6 to 7 days for normally healthy people. This is only the case if all other food handling safety was used previously with the turkey. re- ceive more information by contacting their regional Division ar When it comes to roasting turkey, two of the most successful time saving ways are the Oven Bag Method and the Foil Wrapped Method.
