The Central Utah Regional History Fair was held April 4th at Snow College. Students in presented history grades 4-- 12 research projects, competing for the opportunity to advance to the state contest. They were able to defend themselves as the 1996 Region champions and brought home the win again this year for the new title of the 1997 Region Drama Champions. The following students are those who qualified for State Drama. In Humorous Interpts, Ben Markland placed 2nd; qualifiers were Lindsey Wright, Don land, Elaine Welsh, and Richard White. In Dramatic Interpts, Amber Miller placed 2nd and Cindy Roth placed 3rd; Sarah Paystrup and Jacob Hyde both qualified. In Play Scenes, Elizabeth Hyde, Neil Greenhalgh, Mario Wilkey, Brian Hall, Hollic Mark-Scho- ol Crockett, Chalene Hart, and Kevin Higginson all qualified. In Pantomimes, Collette Orme and Natalie Hall took 1st place, E e Neilson and Alison Simons took 3rd place, and Suzanne Woodland, Machelle Miller, Mar-cBlackett, Kaydee Morgan, mi-le- i, Brandy Jones, and Shanna I Painter all qualified.
