McKay Center at UVSC. Harper, Shari Banks, Jaima High School Computer Programming Contest The University of Utah Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) will host a programming contest for Utah high school students on Friday, March 21, 1997, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. This programming contest will be a team effort. Each Utah high school may have one team. Each team consists of one to four students, but no more than three of them may be ofthe same gender. Contest scoring will be based upon two things: (a) On the day of the contest, each team will be given five problems to solve. Points will be awarded according to the num ber of problems completed and the amount of time taken to solve each problem. The purpose of the program is to provide access to an array of visual arts, Utah Watercolor Society: A Selection from the Annual Juried Exhibition a traveling exhibition will be exhibited at Nephi Elementary School from February 15th to March 12th. Utah Watercolor Society of Utah is an organization which was founded in 1974 to elevate watercolor and educate the public of the importance of watercolor as a creative permanent art medium. The society encourages its members to develop artistically and creatively and to share ideas and techniques with one another while providing opportunities for exposure of their art in exhibitions. Each year the Utah Watercolor Society sponsors a competition juried by nationally recognized watercolorists. From the show a selection ofworks are curated for the Utah Arts Councils TVavel-in- g Exhibition Program.
