He was born November 21, 1916, in Roosevelt to Clarence Lambert and Esther Smith Lambert. He married Afton Garrett on September 20, 1941, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He attended schools in Roosevelt, where he was active in student government, serving in different class offices and as He student body was also active in sports, including tennis, basketball, football and boxing. He attended Snow College, and then accepted a job with the Bureau ofReclamation on the Moon Lake Dam project. He later graduated from Utah State University and received a Masters Degree in Chemistry from the University of Utah. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He worked for the Department of Employment Security. He taught chemistry at Logan High School in Logan, Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College in California, where he received the title of full professor and served as chair of the Chemistry Department. He was an active member of the LDS Church where he served in many different capacities, including; teacher, president of the Young Mens organization, High Priest Group Leader, Bishops well-prepar- ed Counselor and Executive Secre- - tary. He also served as Bishop in the Rexburg Second Ward in I daho and as Bishop in the Rialto Second Ward in California. Clarence is survived by his n wife, Afton; two daughters, L. Anderson of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and Twilla L. (Dr. Ronald F.) Gordon of Ogden; four grandchildren; two one sister, Twilla L. (Marion) Caldwell of Elverta, California;' and one brother, Arthur E. (Marion) Lambert of Palm Desert, California. He was preceded in death by his parents; one younger brother, Nolan K. Lambert; and one grandson, Steven Mark Ander2.
