They have very limited contact with family and would receive little or nothing at Christmas without community support. The Forgotten Patient Christmas Project has been designed to help provide Christmas for these patients. Its success depends totally on community volunteers. There are a number of ways that we can use your help: we can provide you with the name and enough information to provide Christmas for a patient; money donations are accepted and hospital staff will do the shopping; some groups prefer to donate items for more than one patient (socks, underwear, candy, etc.); we are always happy to hear from a volunteer and glad to work with you in trying new ideas. The Forgotten Patient Christmas Project is often the only touch of the Holiday spirit these patients experience. Please feel the spirit of giving this holiday season and sponsor a forgotten patient.
