Art Guild wants entries for Stampede Art Exhibit The Juab Art Guild would like to invite all novice or experienced artists to prepare for the upcoming Art Exhibit to take place during the Ute Stampede. Anyone, age 16 or older, is eligible. Entry forms are available at Celebrations Cafe in Nephi or write to Juab Art Guild, Box One, Nephi, UT 84648. Fees are $2.50 per entry. A professional artist will judge the works. Prizes will be awarded. Residents of Juab County, Santaquin, Goshen, Genola, and Millard County are encouraged to participate. Art works from previous years, that have not been shown in the Art Guild show previously, are welcome. All drawings or paintings need to be framed and ready to hang. The theme this year is This Is Cancer screening clinics June 17th A free skin cancer screening clinic will be held June 17th from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Public Health office, Room 214 in the Juab County Center. No appointments are necessary. Michael Peterson, M.D. of Nephi Medical Clinic will be doing the screening. Please wear loose fitting clothing andor short sleeve shirts or blouses so the area to be looked at is more freely accessible. All are welcome. A cervical cancer screening clinic will be held on June 17th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 214, the Public Health office, in the Juab County Center. Fees are based on a sliding scale according to gross income and number of people in the family. The clinic will include a pap smear, pelvic, breast and rectal exam as well as a blood pressure screening.
