So begins the theme song for one of scoutings most successful camping programs. The Utah National Parks Council of the Boy Scouts of America announces the Varsity Scout high adventure leadership courses for this summer. There are courses for both youth and adults. Practical leadership skills are taught, then applied by planning and doing activities in a setting of high adventure. Activities such as rappelling, black powder rifle competition, backpacking, and wide games are used for fun and learning. It is a week of fun filled, exciting leadership training called Varsity Scout for young men and Varsity Wood Badge for adult scout leaders. These leadership courses are for Varsity Scout young men, and adult leaders ages working with this age group. Any registered scout or scouter who is or may be a leader in his team can attend.
