GIBSON SECOND COUNSELOR Stake Presidency Christmas Message It is a good thing to pause and meditate; whether it be upon the happenings of the individual day, or of the season, or upon a years cycle completed. As we anticipate the coming within a few days of Christmas, may we pause and meditate upon the full and true meaning of the events which have caused us to have such a day these basic events are much more overshadowing, have a deeper meaning than the period which is known as Christmas. Christ came to earth to be the Savior to all mankind and during His sojourn upon the earth taught the Gospel of love and peace, and He of repentance and of hope. taught the way for each of us to gain eternal life and exaultation. What greater mission could be performed f As we meditate upon the past year, we pray that each of you has had peace in your homes through righteous living; that you have had love for your families and for your fellow men; that you have had repentance from any wrong-doin- g, and that you look forward with greater hope. We pray that your families are enjoying health and happiness. 24-ho- ur It is with a great deal of deep joy that we recount that many young folks of our stake have been married for time and for all eternity in the Holy Temple that many families have gone to the Temple for their own blessings and for sealings of families. Although many have not availed themselves of Temple marriage and ordinance, we rejoice with those who have, and conscientiously invite all others to so alter their lives that they too, may receive their blessings in the Temple. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints has been established upon the earth in this dispensation to bless its members. As we approach the new year ahead, we pray that all members oj our stake will keep themselves worthy to receive the choicest blessings of our Father in Heaven. May the joys of the Christmas season be yours, and may the year ahead bring you the countless blessing our Father in Heaven has promised the faithful.
