With all the turmoil in the world at the close of this year, lets not forget about all the good things that have came about. Yes, I know that it is $1,379, about 37.90 higher than last Christmas, but Tm glad that its not $2,379 like we thought it might be last September and it might be in 1991. 7. We have lost some fine people here in Juab County this year but 3. We Harpers ill cee-brate 50th wedding Ross and Floy Nielsen Harper will celebrate their 50th anniversary today, Dec. 24. They were married in Paro-wa- n in 1940. They made their first home in St. George, where Harper owned and operated a trucking business. In 1945, he bought a dryland farm west of Levap. They continued to live in St. George,' but moved to Levan in 1959. Harper has served on the ASC Committee and the Juab County Weed Board for many years.: He . also participated in studies on farming conducted by ; look at all the fine people we havent lost. 8. Harper of West Valley, Ron Harper of Levan, Susan Painter of Nephi, Shirlee Diamond of SpringviUe, and Brent Harper of Rock Springs, Wyo. They also have 19 grandchildren. They will be honored at a family dinner Dec. 29. Atkins, 88, died Dec. 10 in Paramount, Calif. She was bom Jan. 2, 1902 in Nephi, one of the eight children of Jacob and Alice North Gibson. She married Ervey L. Inez S. Sorbe Atkins July 4, 1929. The mardaughter, Clara Ann Paulsen in riage later was solemnized in the Murray. Manti LDS Temple. He died in .Mrs. Sorbe was born in Levan 1985. in 1906. She lived most of her Survivors are two daughters, life in Levan, where she and her Alice Jean Butts and Doris Gibhusband, the late William F. bons; a son, William Atkins; raised six children: VicSorbe, seven grandchildren; 13 greatClara Ann Paulsen, tor Sorbe, grandchildren; and two broth- Glenda Wilson, Marlene Sorbe, ers, B. Dale Gibson and Owen Brazieal, and William N. Gibson. A son, Robert At- Kathryn Sorbe. J. kins, is deceased.
