The winners were Mark Goble, Suzanne Goble, Neil Green-halgCarson Park, Katie Bennett, Amber Garrett, Michelle Parkin, Garrett Blackham, and Cody Shadle. By Allan R. Gibson Thanksgiving time. Its the time when families get together to count their blessing. In my case, I have a lot to be thankful for this year. I have a great wife, 4 great children, my mother is in good health, and all my brothers and sisters are still around. I am thankful for my continued good health and the health of my family, both immediate and extended. I am thankful that while we are close to war in the Persian Gulf, we are not. I am thankful that we have had such a nice Indian Summer, but I am a bit worried about what we are going to drink next summer. I am thankful for a lot of things this year, things both tall and small but things most of us have in common to be thankful about. Most of us are thankful that we see a half full glass of water as half full and have hope that the future will bring us and our children a better life. I would hate going though life seeing that same glass as half empty and spending all my time worried about the end of the world or whether someone was watching me day and night. I am thankful that my glass is still half full. h, V( These area youngsters won awards in the Nephi Public Librarys candy contest, during Childrens Book Week. It was during Sarahs morning show. It was a commercial for a toy that came complete with rechargeable batteries built in. It was the answer to a prayer for anyone who shops for Christmas toys. Imagine, a toy that you dont have to shop for one C cell and 3 AAAs. The toys always seem to take a odd number and odd sizes of batteries. I never have found a toy that calls for two C cells. Then when you get to the store to buy the batteries, you find that batteries are sold in twos or in four packs and you end up with one less or one more that you need. It must be a conspiracy between the toy and. battery makers. Its cant be anything else. WITH DEVELOPING ' 14 J your shoppinj done! , VVWWWWWW'AWV |
