Twenty local students competed in the land, dairy cattle, livestock, and mechanics contests. joni Anderson is JHS 'student of the week' Joni Marie School board set for Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. The board gave approval for Kelly Pexton and Allyn Newell to participate in the Close-uprogram in Washington, D.C. They will travel with a group of other students from central Utah, where they will participate in a variety of activities. The board also approved the request of Terilee Dailey to attend the national FFA convention in Kansas City, Mo. The students will travel at their own expense. The board approved requests for Clark Greenhalgh to attend the national science teachers convention in San Diego, Calif., and Jay Dailey to attend the national FFA convention in Kansas City, Mo. Kenneth Beardall, director of the Mt. Nebo Training Center, submitted a lease agreement to the board for consideration. The agreement is between the Juab School District and TRAIL, Inc. The board did not approve the agreement at the meeting because they thought it required more study. p . She has been active in V.'. club work for seven years, and in 1981 represented the ' X ;L ; M county at the Utah State Fairs Style Dress Revue. She has been a varsity cheerleader for the past two years, and served as a junior varsity cheerleader for one year. She was queen of the junior prom and is homecoming queen this year. Joni is a member of the LDS Church, and studies at the Nephi LDS Stake Seminary. She is a counselor in the Laurel Class in the Nephi Seventh Joni Marie Anderson LDS Ward. She likes sewing, dancing, and she hopes to continue to study in this field following her skiing, and family outings.
