The board informed Saluone that there is presently no mandatory garbage pickup being enforced, but that he was welcome to make a survey of residents in and near town for such a service. Lynn said a similar request had been recieved by the board from another person. According to Saluone, he would need to contract with approximately 100 homeowners in the vicinity to make such a service worthwhile to provide. He estimated such a service would cost in the neighborhood of $3.75 per month for a once a week pickup, but said that prices were negotiable. In other business, the board reviewed a complaint received from Ina Kay concerning water prices. They noted that his lot would only accomodate five such lots, but said even that number could not be approved, since a mobile home moratorium is in effect at the present time. Jones was, however, given permission to use a mobile home now on the site as a tool shed. In discussing the Jones petition, the board members agreed that there is a need for them to take a further look at the towns mobile home moratorium. Officials decided they should discuss it further in their March session, and consider drawing up an ordinance concerning mobile homes, or possibly extending the present moratorium until a definite position is agreed upon. According to Worwood, he could have sold the two materials involved many times since their installation. It was his opinion that since the town had accepted the line into its system, the town should consider purchasing it to serve the four homes now using it and for future hookups. Worwood said replacing the line now would be much more costly than its 1975 installation cost. In the original agreement, Worwood said, homeowners hooking onto the line were to be assessed some of the cost of the installation.' Worwood said, however, that Mona officials had approved hookups without assisting with that agreement. In addition, Worwood said, the town had collected connection fees and used the line for eight years. I am not asking in a court of law, Worwood said. I am asking man to man. Mayor Bryce Lynn told Worwood the town is not now financially able to purchase the line and that although he recognized the problem, he was not aware of the legal questions involved. In the past, the town has required others to pay for their own water lines, Lynn said. He added, however, that if there was some way possible to assist Worwood in resolving the problem, he thought the town should do it. Worwood s proposal was tabled by the board for further study.
