He has been called to an LDS mission in Switzerland. 1 . Mrs. Isabel Ockey was honored at a family dinner at her home on Friday of last week. The occasion was Mrs. Ockey's birthday anniversary. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Don Ockey and family of Payson; Mr. and Mrs. John Ockey and family of Ephraim; and Mr. and Mrs. Neil Brown and family and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gustin, all of Nephi. A family dinner was held on Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Fackrell in celebration of the birthday anniversaries of Mr. Fackrell, Laura Newton, and Janice Fackrell. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Craig Newton of Provo and Janice Fackrell of Evanston, Wyoming. I '.m Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Pay-stro- p of Tooele spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Carter. Guests at the home of Mrs. George W. Duckworth for several days last week were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Pack and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burton, all of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Jackman of San Francisco, California. Richard Garrett of Cedar City was a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Garrett on Friday of last week. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Gordon were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Helsten and children Lance and Tracy of Salt Lake City, and Mina Richies and Lilly Johnson, both of Spanish Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Gowers, Lewis Anderson, and Mrs. Cecil Goates spent Wednesday of last week in Price where Mr. Anderson took care of some business. en-rou- Mrs. Leon Broadhead and children Donna, Connie, Darren, and Evan of Ruth, Nevada were overnight guests last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Broadhead. Mr. and Mrs. Max Bowles entertained at a birthday dinner at their home on Sunday. The guest of honor was Pamela Unopulos. Other guests were Kenneth Robinson, Jake Jacobsen, Diane Robinson and children Todd and Bonnie, and Marjorie and Johnny Unopulos. Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Chase were Merrie Chase and Marlene Ack-roy- d and sons Roy and Shawn, all of Cedar City. Lloyd Kendall of New ton was a weekend guest at the home of Mrs. Verda Kendall. Mr. and Mrs. Greg Stuart and daughter Kristen Marie of Las Vegas, Nevada spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Kay Stuart. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Stuart and other relatives and friends. Guests at the home of Mrs. Hazel Bosh during the Mr. and Mrs. Ross Esplin and son Kemo of Provo were visitors over the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pay. Easter weekend were Mrs. Vernon Bosh and son Leon of Las Vegas, Nevada and Mr. and Mrs. Terrence Vest and children of Pocatello, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Vest and family also visited with Mrs. Ernestine Vest. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Nyman were in Salt Lake City and Heber City on Sunday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Glen C. Lewis and children and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rose and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Berg and children. Mrs. Nyman remained for a weeks visit at the Lewis home. Mrs. Ellen Rigby of Bountiful and Mrs. Kay Rymer of Taylors- viJ,e vigitorl on Friday at the home of nd M Barnes. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Worwood and son Kevin of Salt Lake City were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. Ronald ! Mrs. Gilbert Bailey returned home recently after spending the Easter holidays in Salt Lake City and Ogden. She visited with Mrs. Clela B. Jorgensen at Salt Lake City and with Mr. and Mrs. Monte Bailey at Ogden. While in Ogden, she witnessed the ordination of her great grandson, Troy Shumaker, to the office of a deacon and attended a family dinner on Easter at the Monte Bailey home. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Bailey of Ogden were also dinner guests at the Bailey home. She also accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Monte Bailey to the Heber City Democratic convention, where he was the master of ceremonies. Wright of Nephi, was the top winner in the Soil Conservation District poster contest conducted recently in the fifth and sixth grades. Nathan was first place winner in the sixth grade division as well as the grand prize winner. Other prize winners in the sixth grade were Meridee Sperry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Sperry, and Vonda Allred. Fifth grade winners were Shan-r..- n Begay, Jess Scott, and bnauna Kay. The grand prize winner received $10; and first, second, and third prizes in each grade were $5, $3, and $2. Leon Pexton speaks on city government at Nautilus club Leon Pexton, a member of the Nephi City Council, discussed city government at a recent meeting of the Nautilus Literary Mona news Club. Mrs. Marsha Calhoon returned to her home in Calgary, Can-- , ada on Sunday and LaMar and Martha Newton returned to Douglas, Arizona on Monday after spending ten days in Utah visiting with Mrs. Hilda Newton and other relatives and friends. The club met at the home of Beth Sperry.
