City Impressive In Tabernacle Last Sunday Attorney Arranging Details T is not very often that a citizen of phi enjoys the Ne- dis- tinction of a long conversadistance tion on the tele phone from this city to New York, but such was the experience of a resident of this city last Sunday afternoon. when Mrs. Oliver Wilson was called to the phone and notified by the operator that a party in New York wished to 'talk with her. Airs. Wilson thought that some one was playing a joke upon her, but it turned out to be the correct dope, as It was her sister, Airs. Pugsley, formerly Aliss Ester Andrews of 'this city, who was on the other end of the line in the big metropolis. Airs. Wilson was certainly elated to talk with her sister, and says the voice was just as distinct as though she had been in Nephi. The above incident shows the wonderful age we are living In, when conversation can be had with a person nearly three thousands miles. .11 ilOSCOE IV. He recently entered them for the show at the suggestion of Air. manager of the stock yards at Salt Lake, and he is now using his best efforts to have them gain every pound of flesh they can possibly carry. Air. Cazier is a strong believer in the value of hogs on the farm, especially where they can be handed in connection with a herd of good dairy cattle, and he thinks the farmers of this section would do well to pay more attention to the raising of this class of stock.
