Show I Four Nephi men Hospital nst participate in Wyoming camp Four Nephi men were among those of the First Target Acquistion Battalion, 140th Field Artillery, who participated in a Utah National Guard camp at Camp Guernsey, Wyoming, held recently. They are Lynn Barnes, Boyd Howarth, Dick Whittington, and Ken Ingram. Captain Barnes is the commander of Battery C of the unit. e He is a employee of the National Guard, and while he formerly lived in Nephi, is now living in Murray. Boyd Howarth, an employee of Pexton Wholesale company, Nephi, is the groups top noncommissioned officer. Howarth is the First Sergeant of Battery C. Sergeant Howarth was one of those escorting Major General Maurice Watts, the adjutant general for the state of Utah, when he visited the Utah guardsmens field positions and observed their training. full-tim- Jim Stephensen, Nellie Aagard Nellie Aagard, Jim Stephensen to marry attended Snow College, and was affiliated with the Gold Key marching club and the rodeo club. The couple are planning a June 30 wedding in the Manti LDS Temple. bergeant First Class Richard Whittington of Nephi is the Radar Platoon Sergeant, and according to reports, General Watts seemed especially pleased with Sergeant Whittingtons platoon. Their operation of the radar equipment is reported to be the best in the past six years. The General, observing the plotting of artillery rounds, commented on the Platoons precision. Sergeant Whittington recently assumed his' assignment as the Platoons leader. Prior to that time, he was in charge of the communications platoon. The units motor sergeant is Sergeant First Class Kenneth Ingram of Nephi. His responsibility includes the maintenance of the units 50 vehicles.
