Show Universal Microfilming Corp B ox 2608 Silt 8U10 Like City, Utah Nephi, Juab County, Utah 84648, Thursday, June 21, 1973 by the editor Services held for Itha A day or so ago we had the occasion to talk to a gentlemean from the midwest . . . he and his party had stopped in Nephi to buy some groceries and had parked in front of the T-- shop. He had noted that the newspaper in the vendor in front said that Yuba State Park was closed, and he came in to make further inquiry. It gave me an opportunity to tell him about the beauties of the behind Mt. Nebo area, and to urge him to go that way to camp for the night. We hope that he and his group enjoyed the sunrise in the canyon, especially at Camp Dadandson (Bear Canyon) as the suns early rays fell upon the majesty of Mt. Nebo and the basins. We hope that he and his group enjoyed the pleasure of being around the campfire in the evening, and had the deep scent of pine penetrate their nostrils. What would you have done in a case of such inquiry? Were positive that you would have urged them all possible to enjoy the beauties of our majestic mountains ... to urge them to stay another day! We sincerely hope so! reg Last autumn, we converted to offset duties publication, and the paste-uhave been much different than the make-uwhich weve know throughout the p hot-typ- e p These duties have been assumed Sonya, even by our daughter-in-law- , though in recent weeks the task has been more trying for her. This week, her services have turned to another vein . . . and we sincerely are grateful that her wishes came true . . . what she and Vance are going to name the new daughter, born early Monday, hasnt yet been completely decided upon. What in the world do they live on during that time? - reg at the truck-ca- r wreck near Mona, Reese Painter of the Highway department and his assistant, Jack Shaw were on the scene to sand over the spilled diesel oil which made the road On Saturday morning slicker than the proverbial stuff on a doorknob! Also on the scene to wash the road and to guard against fire were members of the Nephi Fire Department. We can enthusiastically join with Trooper Harding, investigating officer, in a special thanks to these men for speedily responding to the call. Although no fire occured, equipment was on the scene just in case for the protection of the public. It was reported that one unthinking individual, as he strolled near the tanker, lit up a cigarette admist all the spilled oil. And it was also reported that some fast thinking individual whisked the burning cigarette from his mouth and quickly extinguished it . . . and we imagine with a few words of caution! reg Volume 64, Number 25 Parkes, 91 services were conducted d Ward chapel Tuesday at the for Mrs. Goldie Itha Bigler Parkes, 91.
