Show MIA Interest group to hold Fish and Game news A new Birthday congratulations are extended to Alison Reid, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Reid of Nephi. Alison was one year old on June 5. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Reid of Springville and Mr. and Mrs. Wilford J. Arnold of Orem. law prohibits the sale of any form of wildlife, except those species provided in the Wildlife Resources Code of Utah or under rules and regulations of the Wildlife Board. Coyotes, chipmunksand other forms of unprotected wildlife can no longer be sold in pet stores or by individuals. However, John Nagel, chief of Jaw enforcement, pointed out that private fish installations and wildlife farms operating under exisiting board rules are still allowed to sell wildlife. The new law, Section of the Wildlife Resources Code of Utah specifically prohibits persons to utilize wildlife as a commercial venture for financial gain except as provided in the code or under rules and regulations of the Wildlife Board. Hunting seasons for moose, elk, antelope, desert bighorn sheep and buffalo will be determined in the latter part of June after the Board of Big Game Control has held its public meetings. The Division of Wildlife Resources has been receiving many inquiries concerning these big game hunts. Season public meetings throughout Utah in June. They have been set for June 22 in Ogden, June 25 in Cedar City, June 26 in Salina, June 27 in Price, June 28 in Vernal, and June 29 in Salt Lake, City. All meetings will begin at 8 p.m. Exact locations will be set later. The 1973 deer archery season has been set for August 18 to September 3 and 1973s general deer hunt will run from October 20 through October 31. Deer hunters should remember that season generally begins the nearest Saturday to October 20. Dates for the remaining hunting seasons will be announced as soon as they are set.
