The wedding date has not been set Miss Sudweeks is a graduate of Juab Stake Seminary and will be a senior next year at Juab High School. Mr. Syme graduated from Moroni Stake Seminary and North Sanpete High School, and has attended Utah State University. Mr. Sudweeks also Is a graduate of Juab High School and of Juab Stake Seminary. He has attended Utah Technical College at Salt Lake City and at Provo, and has just returned after serving an LDS mission in the Netherlands. They plan an early September wedding at the Manti Temple. They will make their home in Logan where both will continue their education at Utah State University. The new Mrs. Thain is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Chapman of NephL Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Pauli M. Thain of Benson, Utah. Following the ceremony, the couple was honored at a wedding breakfast at Mickelsons Cafe in Nephi. Parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Chapman, were hosts at a wedding reception that evening at the Juab Stake House. The bride was lovely in a white chiffon over nylon satin gown. The yoke and sleeves were of lace with a daisy pattern. The front of the dress was appliqued with daisies and a row of daisies covered the bottom of the dress and the train. From a crown of daisies fell a floor length tulle veil which also was edged in tiny daisies. The bridal bouquet was of talisman roses and white carnations, centered with a white orchid. The bride chose as her maid of honor, her sister, Miss Carol Chapman, and the bridesmaids were Marcia Nelson, Emilee Allison, Judy Greenhalgh, Jan Sperry, Beverly Olsen, Arlene Yardley, LaRae Knighton and Julia Nebeker. The attendants wore full length yellow dotted swiss dresses, made with puffed sleeves, with ribbon laced down the bodice front. Their long skirts were ruffled at the bottom. They carried baskets of yellow daises. The maid of honor wore a salmon-colore- d dress of the same style and material Mothers of the bride and groom chose salmon-colore- d dotted swiss for their dresses and their corsages were of glad-iol- a in a deep salmon shade. Danny Thain stood as best man, with Carl Paystrup, Glen Paystrup and Kim Dopp as ushers. Special guests were grandparents: Mrs. Marvin Thain of Benson and James R. Paystrup of Levan. Seated at the book were 'Mary Cherry, Vickie Reid and Sandra Cook. Serving were Becky Sperry, Jeannett Wilkey and Susan Chapman. Gift bearers were Bart Sperry, Jane Hiatt, Clint Dopp and Cindy Ludlow. The bride is a graduate of Snow College and also of Utah State University where she majored in education. The groom is a graduate of Utah State University where he majored in personnel management He served a mission in England and has also completed military service. He is presentley employed in Logan and the couple are making their home in Smithfield after a honeymoon trip to Southern California. Page Five Company Awards Convention William D. Howard of Nephi this week is being honored at a sales convention at San Francisco, California by execu- tives of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Don V. Gamette, manager of this area for the company, stated that Mr. Howard was among the top producers of the field organization for the year 1970, an enviable position that he has maintained in each of his 11 years with the company.
