Unlawful to Transact Business Without a License. It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in or carry on any business, trade, profession or calling, within the City, for the transaction or carrying on of which a license is required, without first taking out or procuring a license required for such business, trade, profession or calling. Section 332. Applications. Statement. Applications for license shall be made in writing to the City Recorder. All certificates of license shall be signed by the mayor and attested by the city recorder underthe seal of the city. The application will show: 1. The name of the person desiring a license. 2. The kind of license desired, stating the business, calling, trade or profession to be performed, practiced or carried on. 3. The class of license desired, if such licenses are divided into classes. 4. The place where such business, calling, trade or number of profession is to be carried on, giving the street such business calling, trade or profession, is to be carried on in any building or enclosure. 5. The period of time for which such license is desired to be issued. 6. The application shall also state any other matter or thing required by ordinance or statute. 7. Statement shall be mailed by the City Recorddirected er as by the City Council. i ! ; Section 333. Section 333 of the Revised Ordinances City hereby is repealed. of Nephi Section 334. The kind of license and the class of such license, if such licenses are divided into classes. 4. The term of the license with commencing date, and the date of its expiration. 5. The place where such business, calling, trade or profession is to be carried on. Every certificate of license issued shall be posted licensee in a conspicuous place upon the wall of the the by building, room or office of the store or place in which such licensed business, calling, trade or procssion is carried on, so that the same may be easily seen, and when such license shall have expired it shall be removed by the licensee from such place in which it has been posted, anc no certificate of license which is not in force and effect shall be permitted to remain posted upon the wall or any part of the any room, store, office or place of business after the period of such certificate or license has expired. It shall be the duty of each and every person to whom a certificate of license has been issued to show the same at any proper time when requested so to do by any peace officer or license inspector. No license granted or issued under any of the provisions of this chapter, or otherwise, shall be in any manner assignable or transferable, or authorize any person, other than is therein mentioned or named to do business, or authorize any other business, calling, trade or profession than is therein mentioned or named, to be done or transacted, or the business, calling, trade or profession therein mentioned or named to be done or transacted, at any place other than is therein ' mentioned or named. Section 335. Payment of License, Yearly Certific ates. All licenses provided for in this chapter shall be payable annually in advance, unless otherwise provided by resolution or motion of the City Council. The license shall issue for the year of April 1, to the following March 31, or the part thereof after application is received. Section 336. Civil Action. A civil action may be brought to recover unpaid license fees or charges; provided, this section shall not be construed to prevent or interfere with the enforcement of any penalty provision contained in this chapter, or in any other ordiance of the City. Section 337. License Required. It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in or pursue any business, trade, profession or calling herein mentioned in the City without first obtaining a license so to do. The required license shall be for the year April 1 to March 31, inclusive, and the payment thereof shall be due and payable on or before the first day of April or before commencing any such business, trade, profession or calling, and shall be payable to the City Treasurer as follow.
