The band, under the directconcert-assemb- ly ion of Allen Smith, played the numbers that they plan to play for Large Groups Music Festival In May, along with a few other favorites of the band members. Mr. Smith has taken the band to a couple of the elementary schools in the district and plans to visit all the elementary schools In the district before the school year is over. Mr. Smith began preparing for Large Groups Music Festival several months ago. Each soloist plays his solo before a judge and is given a rating on how well he interprets the selection. The small ensembles are judged on the same basis as the solos. Mr. Smith says that he exthis pects more contestants year from Juab than there have been for any other year that Juab has participated in the Small Groups Music Festival. Mr. Smith also stated that we would like to take the band m some other schools in the region, as well as to some of the schools in the southern end of the state, and present a con miiinigss cert for them. Then in return, each of the schools visited could bring an assembly or concert to the students of Juab. Deadline Sef for 1967 4-- H Club Enrollments is time to enroll in for all who have not done so, according to Clara Schofield, Juab Home Agent. Deadline for enrollment has been set by the Council for April 28. Prospective members should come to the Post Office Building, downstairs, at the Extension Service office, according to Mrs. Schofield. It is important that be enrolled in the project of their choice and that clubs be organized before time for the officers training meeting which will take place early It 4-- H 4-- H in May. Any boy or girl between the ages of 10 and 19 may join by agreeing to work on a project standards and and follow ideals.
