Mathews of Nephl became the bride of Rulon Jack Painter Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon J. Painter Sr. of Santaquin at impressive rites Saturday, October 10 at the Nephl Second Ward. Bishop Kenneth Nyman performed the ceremony In the presence of relatives of the couple. The newly weds were honored at a reception Immediately following the ceremony. The bridal party greeted the guests in the beautifully decorated hall. A back drop of blue and silver outlined the bridal party and pink lights were reflected from columns of white. Table decorations were pink and blue. Claudia Smith, Ruth Brown, DeAnn Ingram and Kathy Sherwood served. The bride was beautifully attired in a white brocade taffeta dress with a satin and lace, long sleeved bolero Jacket. Her nylon chiffon two tiered veil was crowned with a chiffon rose. She carried a bouquet of orchid carnations with silver ribbon, centered with a beautiful orchid. Mrs. James N. Francom, a sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bride maids were Rachel Dutson, Carol Ann, Ellen and Patsy Painter, sisters of the groom.
