A. J. Bowers Named Juab County Weed Control Supervisor Many early weeds are ready to treat for control now, according to Kay R. Bendixsen, Juab County Agricultural agent. Weeds sprayed with 24D are killed most easily when treated in the bud stage of growth. Whitetop is in the right stage for spraying now. This is a serious noxious weed and should be controlled, eliminated if possible. Weeds are expensive to have on the farm. It is beneficial to control them. A. J. Bowers Jr. has been appointed by the County Commissioners as County Weed Supervisor. It is his responsibility to supervise the control of weeds on the county roads. This year, the State Road Commission will handle their own weed control program. If you know of any weeds on the county y road that need to be controlled, call Mr. Bowers or the County Agent.
