At the convention session on Saturday, Nephi women participated in a panel discussion on their "Year of Achievement. Those in the panel were Mrs. Milton L. Winn, past president of the Fine Arts club; Mrs. Lynn Olpin, contest chairman; Mrs. Fred Wetherell, president of the Fine Arts club, and Mrs. C. R. Lomax, chairman of the scrapbook committee for the contest. William B. Howarth, Commanding officer of the Guard. Lt. Howarth stated that a drill will be in progress on that day, and that members of the unit will be assigned to conduct visitors through the armory and to answer any questions that may arise. Daughter of Nephi Folks Receives Fulbright Voice Study Scholarship i Announcement has 'been made by the International Educational Exchange Service of the Department of State that Anna Julia Hoyt of Nephi has been awarded a scholarship to study voice at the Music Academy at Munich, Ger-inu- g many. The scholarship is under the Ful-th- e bright act, which provides for exchange prgrams, offering oppor- tunities for American students to study for one year in certain foreign countries, the purpose being to promote better understanding of the United States in other countries and to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the poples of other countries cooperating in the program. Candidates are selected by the board of foreign scholarships which is appointed by the President. Miss Hoyt is an alumna of the Brigham Young University and is a daughter of Judge and Mrs. Will L. Hoyt of Nephi.
