She is famous as a lecturer and is a scientist in the field of radioactivity. She has worked In the laboratory of Madame Curie in Paris, the center of all work on radium and radioactivity. After five years in Paris she received her doctor's degree from the Sorbonne and v returned to Norway to become a pro- fessor at the University of Oslo. Latar she came to America and continued her studies at Vale university. She has published a number of books.
