Like the ad says, What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas or What happens at the senior center stays at the senior center. All Easter bonnets were original. Tammys reminded us of Johnny Appleseeds pot with spring ribbons. Tharla Holyoak and Martha Garner were stunning calendar girls Patricia in sunflowers. Jurasich added spring to her straw hat with bright yellow forsythia sprigs. Maxine Himmelberger wore pansies and roses atop her huge straw hat. We had to smile at John Himmelbergers pigeon toed fluffy duck and colored eggs on his bright yellow ball cap. Vernon Warren combined hot red horns and blooms atop his white cap. Ann Beeson had the cutest pink bunny on her straw chapeau with rosey scarf. Sitting at table six with her was Malva Jones with two perky flowers atop her hat backed by a bunny and eggs. Phylis Keith was original in spring sprigs set off by a black ball cap. Cosmo Moccia chose to keep his topper plain and simple for head warmth. Bar- bara Trask had her critter menagerie circling her flowered denim work bonnet and George Jurasich was unique in his blooming flower pot. More visitors of note this month were Mary Lou Kosanke, Geri Guymon and Leonora Wilhelm from down south. We were happy to see them again. Arthur Cressler of Ucolo visited us several times this month for lunch so we were glad to get acquainted with him. It was nice to have Nancy Frost with us. She and her husband from Boise, ID, were visiting Maxine Frost. Phylis Keith was a beaming grandmother when her new granddaughter Cierra Begay came with her mom, Natasha Keith. Cute little baby. Oma and IIB Kiser entertained their friend, John Fuller from Odessa, TX with us. We reminisced about Dr. Goon and his wife, Nicki and their family when we learned of Nickis passing. They are well remembered for their 30 years here as part of our community. Ill always remember one Christmas service hearing Nicki sing the hymn, Theres a Song In The Air at the Community Church. They helped us all very much. Our condolences to her family. As much as Im tired of all this wind and wave after wave of wet snowstorms, I admit I enjoy these clear, super blue skies and pristine white clouds after each storm front. So clean, fresh smelling air, wonderful to breathe such purity. Our thanks to the crew who repaired the mountain TV signal last week! Now we are adjusting to springing forward. Stop by the center for an April agenda and see whats planned. Ask Curtis Sweet about his speeding alligator and beaten up peanut jokes.
