Five jet ski competitors San Juan County brought home trophies from the Utah Jet Ski races held from on the Snake River in Burley, Idaho. The two-da- y event on August 29 and 30 marked the final races of the 1992 Utah jet ski season. Tabulation of yearly totals put three San Juan jet skiers ners circle. in the win- Richey Black of Monti-celledged out Joel Carson of Salt Lake City to take the state title in Novice Men. At the Burley meet he placed first in Novice Modified and second in Slalom. For the year, Jet Christensen of Blanding finished second in Beginner Men. At the Burley race, he took second in Novice Stock, second in Beginner Men, fourth in Expert, and o in second Beginner Slalom. For the year, John Black of Monticello took second in Veterans and third in Freestyle. At Burley he took first in Veterans Slalom and third in Veterans. Danny Black of Blanding competed at Burley in his first race ever. In a field of over 30 racers, he took fourth in the Beginner Men Closed Course. He also received a trophy for third in Beginner Slalom.
