Cook, candidate for governor on the independent ticket, was there to meet with us and give a short talk about his platform. Hetty Gaines went to Kanab for a short visit with relatives. The Bluff Branch of the LDS Church held their conference last Sunday. Stake President Donald Jack and his counselors Shumway and Pincock were present, as well as other stake leaders. Branch President Stanley Bronson was released, along with his counselors Kevin Guyrnon and Ben Benallie. Ben Benallie was sustained as Branch president, with Kevin Guyrnon as counselor. Clemma Johnson went to Farmington, New Mexico to pick up her granddaughter, Misty Olsson of Albuquerque. Misty is visiting relatives here and in Blanding. Our library opened on April 10. Rosalie Goldman took me on a Rosalie tour. The library is quite impressive. All the shelves are labeled as to subject matter, and there are a lot of nice books - all donated. There is a little corner just for children, with complete table and chairs, and appropriately decorated. One of the kids donated a blackboard.
