Show THE SAN JUAN RECORD Wednesday January by Christmas is over, and I'm always sorry to see it a thing of the past, again. I love every bit of it. This year, however, I found myself wondering where that greenhouse effect disappeared to. There were frozen and broken water pipes all over the place. A sign went up at the Sunbon-ne- t Cafe announcing to all its patrons that there was no water, so it would open later. Routes would use national forest lands in Dark Canyon Wilderness, Arch Canyon, the Elk Ridge vicinity, and Hammond Canyon. The Monticello Ranger District of the MantiLa Sal 30. The singing is always beautiful, but it was so cold. They also brought dinner to some of us lucky people in town. Clemma tells me they look forward to this yearly event, and weren't about to let cold weather stop them. Art Yerby is home from the hospital in Farmington, after a short time there. He It has been so I cold here, that all I've wanted to do is sit in a warm house and watch TV - or better yet -just read. I've had good neighbors haul me around, because my car seemed to be frozen up and wouldn't run. Rosalie Goldman saw that I got to the post office, and Clemma drove me to church. The TV is much better than it was, although reception is erratic. It varies from very good to noisy and snowy. What else a person can expect from this weather, I don't know.
