Show THE SAN JUAN RECORD ROBERT SWENSON Robert Tanner Swenson, 60, died April 28, 1990 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City from complications following surgery. He was born December 12, 1929 in Provo, Utah a son of Carl Davis and Lura Tanner Swenson. He married Maxine Larsen July 2, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple. He attended Provo City schools, graduated from Brigham Young University, and graduated from the University of Utah Medical School in 1957. A one year internship was completed at the University of Minnesota. This was followed by a one year Internal Medicine residency, a two year fellowship in hematology research, and a three year residency in radiology, all completed at the University of Utah Hospital. He was a member of the A.M. A. and the American Board of Radiology. He practiced in Utah and California and for the past 11 years in Northern Montana. He also served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the LDS Church and had served many callings including Explorer Leader and Branch President of the Cut Bank, Montana branch. He was currently serving as High Priest group teacher. Dr. Swenson is survived by his wife of Cut Bank, Montana; one son and three daughters; Sally Ann Swenson of Laguna Niguel, California; Captain John Robert Swenson of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Mrs. Dennis Robert (Joanne Lura) of McCombs, Chewelah, Wash- ington; Mrs. Steven Todd (Carolyn Maxine) of Riggs, Placentia, California; five grandchildren; brother and sister: Claire Johnson of Provo; John Swenson of Springville. Funeral services were held on May 1 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel in Provo. Inter- ment at Provo City Cemetery. ROBSON Ila Allred Robson, age 88, passed away April 25, 1990, at Mercy Medical Center in Durango, Colorado after a short illness. She was born October 3, 1901, in Moab, Utah to Wilson and Laura Johnson Allred. She graduated from Grand County High School, and then attended the University of Utah. She married Gordon A. She was a member of the Monticello Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, San Juan Camp, and in later years enjoyed being part of the Senior Citizen organization. She was a librarian at the Monticello Elementary School for many years. At age 61, Ila returned to the University of Utah, after her husbands death in 1956, and graduated with honors, . receiving a bachelors degree in library science. Ila is survived by two , daughters and two sons: Mrs. Ted (Margaret) Bronson of Monticello; Laura Leetham of Salt Lake City; Ralph Robson of Monticello; and Howard Robson of Tucson, Arizona; nine grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren; 20 two brothers, Waldo Allred of LaPaloma, California, and Eugene Allred of Pleasant Grove, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; son, Wallace; daughter, Sarah Jane Robson; sister, Julia Hyde; and three 10 ACRE RANCHETTE on Blue Mtn. Road. Lots of trees. Pasture and pond. She was bora March 14, 1895 in Colonia Pacheco Chihuahua, Mexico to James William Palmer and Eva Minerva Black. The family moved to Blanding on December 14, 1911, where the family engaged in farming. She married Marvin Willard Jones on February 12, 1913 in the Salt Lake Temple. Bora to this union were 13 children. Marvin died in 1966. Eight children also preceded her in death. She married Chester Black in 1967, and he passed away in 1975. She is survived by children: Ila Harvey of Cucamonga, California; Wendell P. Jones of Blanding, Leon W. Jones of Palisade, Colorado, Larry Jones of Carbondale, Colorado, and, Dora Heiner of Rupert, Idaho; two brothers, Delbert Palmer and Kenneth Palmer, a sister Ida May Nielson; 40 grandchildren (four of whom preceded her in death), 75 and four Funeral services were held May 4, 1990 in Blanding.
