The Bucks had something to prove, as the Blue Jays handed the Bucks a resounding defeat last season in Mancos. And prove they did. The Bucks took the Blue Jays in girls JV basketball, girls varsity basketball, boys JV basketball and boys varsity basketball. The boys varsity contest turned into a real defensive battle, but the Bucks were equal to the challenge, winning The Bucks hustled hard but were behind 10-- at the end of the first quarter. In the second period, the Bucks set the tempo. Putting on defensive pressure, they held the Blue Jays to only four points while scoring 16.
