The Sunshine Generation will present a program at 4:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Carolyn Christensen Rodgers of Salt Lake City. She graduated from the Continental Beauty College and is working at Design Master in Salt Lake City. The bridegroom is a senior at the University of Utah. He served an LDS mission in Venezuela. Businesses. The award recognizes outstanding contributions in teaching business and economic principles at the post high school level. Barfuss was nominated for the award by the Utah Business Education Association. Barfuss has been teaching business courses at CEU San Juan Campus for 10 years. She has taught at Delta High School and Brigham Young University. According to Michael Peterson, CEU president, Barfuss has been and is instrumental in developing the business program at the San Juan Campus a program that is remarkably successful. Barfuss has the degree at Brigham Young University in 1963 and her masters degree in 1971 . She also has certificates from the Computer Institute at Arizona State University. Enrollment at CEU has grown from 50 students in 1976 to over 350 students this year. Spring festival at Monticello Elementary The Monticello Elementary School Spring Music, Science, and Art Festival will be held March 3 at the school. Parents and the public are invited to view the science and arts projects during school hours on March 20 and 23. The music festival will be held on March 20 with kinder 20-2- STYLE STOP students presenting programs at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Grades will present their program at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The public is invited. 3 garten-grad- e 4-- Earths latest art winner 6 Gloria Barfuss of Verjean Collins poster Native Americans poster which recently took second place in the national Safety for contest. The contest was held regionally where Verjeans poster did extremely well, and was then sent to compete at the national level with the other regional winners. Verjean was encouraged to enter the contest by Wendy Moore, art instructor at the school. She will recieve $50 as second place winner, along with the personal satisfaction of winning. Verjean, the daughter of Martha L. Collins of Monument Valley, has been interested in art since childhood. She plans to enter one of the artistic professions. She really enjoys art and feels that competitions similar to this one are great. Ice Age is still with us, for we are living in only a slightly warmer spell of it, says National Geographic.
