' No-retu- rn The Understanding Taxes program, which helps students, the country learn throughout about their tax rights and responsibilities, is available free to teachers in high schools, continuing education, and colleges in Utah. Understanding Taxes is a complete, free educational package, which is geared to teach high school juniors and seniors important aspects of the Federal tax system, according to Jan education taxpayer Hadley, coordinator for the Internal Revenue Service in Utah. Statewide food help hotline - Utahns Against Hunger (UAH) announces its new statewide, toll-fr- ee telephone number, (3663), to provide information to people needing food help outside the Salt Lake area. The Food Help hotline will be staffed during business hours Monday through Friday by UAH personnel and volunteers who are trained on, the various government food assistance programs and who will have information on emergency food assistance in communities programs throughout Utah. Too often, Johnson, UAH states Steve Executive Di -- - rector, people don't know where to get food help or what to do if they are having a problem with a government agency in getting food assistance. The Food Help Hotline will be a centralized source of information for people throughout the State. Johnson adds, We also hope that the Food Help Hotline will facilitate the donation of food to local emergency food efforts. We can take calls from anywhere in the state from people wanting to donate food and try to arrange its delivery to the em ergency food pantry that is closest or in the greatest need of food donations.
