She will stay for several weeks until her sister Gail leaves for her mission. The Jim Hacking family was in Blanding over the weekend visiting his mother Gene Hacking, and his grandmother Neta Young. Jim and his family live in Linden, Utah. David and RusseU Redd and families were home over the weekend to visit their parents, the Kent Redds, and to attend to business matters. David and and in Russell live Sandy family and family live in Orem. 1 We are all pleased to have Laurel Reed home from the hospital. She is much improved and we all hope she will soon be feeling 'as good as new. Judy and Ed Lyman and daughter of Mesa, Arizona spent several days in Blanding this past week on their way to Provo to attend the wedding of Judy's brother. While here, Lynn and Hazel Lyman took them jeeping down the San Juan River and over the old Honaker Trail which is a very rugged ride, Margaret and Vint Jones also went along and report a most fun trip. The Birthday Club met last Saturday afternoon at the home of Ada Rigby with Theressa Redd and Florecne Galbraith assisting. The club has been functioning for over 40 years - - 14 members at this time. Wet have four parties a year - - one each A lovely dinner was season, served and the theme for the party was Valentine's Day. The Blue and Gold banquet for all Cub Scouts and their parents was held on February ruary 8. 18. 5 The Boy Scout banquet and Court of Honor was held on February 9. February is Boy Scout month and there will be banquets for all of the Cub Scouts as well as the Boy Scout banquets and Courts of Honor. February marks the anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scout organization in 1910. The mid-ye- ar school institute for all schools in the district was held in Blanding last week and was weU attended. The guest speaker was Dr. Stephen Glenn, m public meeting. We were saddened to hear that the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Meyer passed away. Our hearts go out to the young couple in their loss.
