A picture taken by Tim, entitled Equine Carou- sel Portrait," won a third place in the Cal State feature photo contest and was accepted for the Chaffey art show. " A picture page layout by Tim also won an award in a photo essay contest sponsored by the Journalism Association of Community Colleges. The classes, which are structured on a more informal basis, stressed the subjects of math and English. Thanks to the generosity of a Bluff Motel owner the youngsters were able to cool off at the motel's pool. They also made a weekly trip to the B landing pool.
