Show I i. NEWS THIS WEEC AT By LaRue McCulloch (Last weeks news) activities. During the Easter break, all of the Karl Redhair family except Norma went to see their grandma in Shiprock, New Mexico. They came home Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon from Hobbs, New Mexico are visiting the Lloyd Pruett family during their vacation. They arrived here 12th and stayed the Friday until Wednesday. Mrs. Bill Lopez and kids left Montezuma Creek for Tuba City, Arizona to visit relaMc-Car- tar tives. They arrived home THE CREEK Sun- day night. I have been asked to announce that Theda Johnson, a clothing specialist from Utah State University, will be in Montezuma Creek to present a program on new fabrics and construction methods necessary for new fashions. This will be held April 30th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the El Paso Natural Gas Camp Recreation Hall. Following the presentation in Montezuma Creek, Miss Johnson will be the programs in giving Blanding and Monticello. The Tex Massey family left Saturday for Vallicito Lake near Durango, Colorado to visit Mr. and Mrs. Ollis Anderson fromChacoStation. Wendy Morrell went with the Masseys and everyone said they really enjoyed a fun time. They returned home on Sunday. Mrs. Susie Preston and her two children went to Provo to spend the Easter vacation with her husband, Gary, and to do some shopping. Some of the Boy Scouts from Troop 309, camped out Thursday night next to the river. They were mostly working on their Camping Skill Awards but they enjoyed a lot of other total of 15 boys went. Tuffy Overton family went on a fishing trip to Navajo and Meramont Lakes near Cortez, Colorado over the The weekend. Donna Williamson made a business trip to Durango, Colorado on the 13th. Britt Becky Macintosh, Hair, Eddie Pruett and Felts Pat move on Mac Intoshs the 26th. father, Marcus Barlow from Scottsdale, Arizona, came Thursday and stayed until Sundav. Also visiting the Macintoshs were Aunt Katie and cousin" Carlton from Phoenix, Arizona . Mrs. Kenneth Jetton and Edith Begay made a business and pleasure trip to Salt Lake City this past weekend. Helen Dominguez and Jim Thomas were married April 12th in the Salt Lake Temple but I havent been able to find them home long enough to ask about their honeymoon. The night before they played in Cortez for square dance graduation. Sunday Jaymes and Georgene Helmstetler went to the second anniversary of the Little Bee Jamboree. Mr. Middlebrook is holding these classes every Friday night at his house. Curtis Bizzelle has a new banjo and Jaymes Helmstetler a new mandolin. Tom Roberts, Jaymes Ron Barlow, and Helmstetler, Truman Cox from Cortez, played for a Firemans Benefit in Pleasant View, Colorado last Saturday night.
