The public is cordially Ken Palmer Retires From Road Crew GEORGE CANNON ADAMS George Cannon Adams was born January 23, 1946, inMoab, Utah, to Donald and Dorothy Rasmussen Adams. He died March 25, 1973, in Livermore, He was working California. on his doctorate at the University of Utah at the time of his death. survived by his parents of Salt Lake, by a sister, Suzanne Adams Halliday and her husband, Bruce, and their two chldren of Monticello. Funeral services were held in Monticello on Friday, March 30th at 2 p.m. Bishop E. J. Sonderegger officiated. The family prayer was given by Buckley Jensen. Prelude and postlude music was played by Mrs. Keith Redd. George Walton offered the invocation. A song, No Man is an Island, was sung by Mrs. Iva Lou Redd. F. Bennion Redd read the obituary followed by remarks. Mrs. Lynn Lund sang He is Oh, My Son, after 1973 5, Friday evening, March 30th, the Blanding members of the San Juan County Road Crew, with their wives, honored Ken Palmer and his wife at a banquet at the library. Ken has been an outstanding and dedicated road employee. He has reached the retirement age of 65. MR. Palmer has worked for the County for 15 years as a cat patrol and truck operator. In addition to Ken and his wife, Marva, there were 15 of his fellow workmen with their wives at the festivities. The group gave Ken a nice Stetson hat as a token of their appreciation.
