This increase in delinquency rate has been typical of the state and the nation. For example, for Utah, in 1960 there were 20. 6 referrals to juvenile court for each 1,000 child population. In 1970 this rate had increased to 41.4 per 1,000. LEROY WOOD Leroy Wood, 85, of Monti -- cello, died on December 29 1971. He was born on Octo- ber 2, 1886 in Bluff, Utah, the son of Samuel and Emma Wood. Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Isabel Barton Wood of Monticello; two sons, Gordon A. of Monticello, and Karl C. of Altamont, Utah; two daugh- ters, Melba Holomon of Den- ver, Colorado, and Mrs. Vera Hazleton of Monticello; and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Halls of Monticello.
