Four of the students are ninth graders and one is in the eighth grade. A sixth case of the disease occurred in an elementary school student. A representative ol the state health Department came to Monticello last week at the request of Dr. C. D. Coon, San Juan County Health Officer. The two conferred. but felt no specific action was necessary. Both Dr. Coon and Mrs. Vera llaelton, county nurse, stressed the importance of good hygeine and handwashing habits to prevent the spread of this contagious disease.
