Monday was quickly solved with the arrest of four suspects in less than an hour. State Highway Patrolman Claude Lacy stopped the car with the suspects in it and radioed for help in making the arrest. Deputy Sheriff Randy Stanard responded quickly and brought them to the County Jail in Monticello. Following preparation by County Attorney Bennion Redd and signing of a consent to search the vehicle, officers found approximately $580. 00, a quantity of checks and a . 22 revolver. Arraigned before Judge Philijp Palmer in Monticello City Court on charges of armed robbery were Peter Paul Oliveij, 33, Leon Sadler, 21, Mrs. Thelma Jo Hicks, 30, and Mrs. 'Jean Thompson Cochr a nej, 39. All four stated that they were visitors in the Blanding area. Bail for the two men was set at $7500 each and for the two women at $2500 each. Singer named to Mission presidency Lewis Singer, a Navajo from Rough Rock, Ariz. has been recently called to the Mission Presidency of th$ Southwest Indian Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is the first Navajo man to be called to such a position and he will help direct the affairs of the Mission under the direction of President Dale T. Tingey. Lewis was born August 30, 1944 in a hogan on Black ners Mesa, near Kayenta, Arizona, the son of Black and Oscar Jones Singer. When Lewis was six years old, his parents sent him to the Tuba City Boarding School. He attended this school for 5 years, and during the last year his father was killed in an accident while working for the railroad in California, Through all of this, Lewis continued to school along with his 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He is married to the former Karen Wagener of Salt Lake City and they have a three month old daughter. At the present time Mr. Bradford is serving in the iNational Guard, BYU Garbage collection Christmas week there will be only one residential garbage pickup. The West side pickup will be Monday, Dec. 22 only; the East side pickup will be Tuesday, Dec. 23 only. Commercial pickup will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
