Show Library Nutrition course l to be held Corner A series of four sessions will be held on nutrition starting Nov. 13 at 8:00 p. m. in the g Classroom (Rock Building) in Dove Creek according to Loren Alexander, Extension Agent for Dolores County. The first session's topic will be on the fundamen tals of Nutrition and will cover rumen physiology including the bacterial action and vitamin and Ammio Acid synthesis. Marvin Heeney, Livestock Nutrition Specialist from Colorado State University, will also talk about crude protein, digestable protein and and the conversion of nitrogen to protein in the case of urea. Mr. Heeney will also talk about about carbohydrates, minerals and feed tag analysis. On the sessions to follow, range nutrition will be reviewed, range management practices will be discussed and the fourth session will be the practical application of what was learned in the first three sessions. Everyone is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. There will be a $2. 50 registration fee for handout materials and refreshments. Students have been researching into different vocations and educational field . They have interviewed different people from various occupations, that the student himself may have an interest in. This has been very helpful to the students in class, being that the class consist of seniors. This is Freedom week at MHS. This is sponsored by the FHA and is supervised by Mrs. Thelma Walton. Various activities being sponsored are, patriotic thoughts, music, bulletin boards., and posters. These will be placed on cars and in grocery stores. Red, White and Blue day will be Friday. The FHA girls are volunteering their services free for babysitting while parents vote. The purpose of this program is to teach citizenship and encourage everyone to exercise their privileges and vote. The fourth year Seminary students left Friday evening for Provo to attend the BYU Homecoming activities.
