Show Steak fry honors husbands The backyard of the John Lewis home was the scene of a steak fry Saturday evening. Each year this group of ladies tm honor their husbands for Father's Day. Being a belated party Father performs daughter's wedding ceremony united in marriage on Friday, June 14, in the Lighthouse Assembly of Cod Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Rev. H. 1L Davis, assisted by the bride's grandfather, Rev. VV. R. Davis, Denison, Okla. , officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was radiant in her Alecon embroidered floor length lace gown, fashioned with a Sabrina neckline enhanced with pearls. Her veil of nylon tulle was held by a coif of lace petals embroideredl with pearls and cascaded over I dark hair. For a wedding bouquet she carried a bouquet of white carnations and lily of the valley centered with two white orchids on a keepsake white Bible. Mrs. Stanley Bumam, Maid of Honor, wore a floor length gown of mint green satin bro- cade, it's A-li- nes didn't dampen the appetites of the husbands for charcoal steaks, sour dough biscuits and dutch oven potatoes, along with all the other trimmings. Eight couples enjoyed the festivities. Daltons meet on Blow, Miss Betty Helms, Miss Vearlene McMillan and Miss Stella Steudeman were in charge of the reception. Miss Davis attended Ard- more High School and graduated from Monticello High School after the Davis family came to Monticello where Rev. Davis is pastor of the First Assembly of God Church. The gDom is a graduate of Ardmore High School. For her wedding trip to Dallas, the bride wore an linen weave gown of mint green with a scalloped neckline and yellow access-he- r A-li- ne Blue Mtn. The descendants of George and Lydia Dalton held a steak fry on the Mountain Wednes- day evening. They were honoring Mr. and Mrs. Alan Guffey and family from Denver who were visiting here, vlrs. Cuffey will be remembered as the former Hilda Dalton. Other brothers and sisters there were Max and Melvin Dalton and Una Black and all their families. Little Susie Cuffey is staying a week longer visiting the Rust Blacks. Michael Somerville takes bride accentuated by a bow at the waist. Miss Ruth Winfield, bridesmaid, wore a yellow satin gown styled like the matron of honor's while the junior bridesmaid wore the same style in a mint green shade. Miss Fara Davis attended her sister as flower girl, carrying a white arm basket of white roses. Best Man was Stanley es Norby Bumam, son of and Mrs. C. J. Bumam of Ardmore, Oklahoma, were Miss Deatra Carol Davis, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. H. H. Davis, and Char Mr. Bur-na- m with Ronnie Bloomfield serving as groomsman and Danny Rogers as junior grooms- man. Steve Anthony and Ronald Berry were ushers. Brothers of the groom and bride, Rickey Bumam and Rickey Davis, were the candlelighters. Kyle Davis, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Davis wore a beige walk ing suit with beige accessories and a burnt orange veil. The groom's mother wore a gardenia costume suit complimented by acqua accessories. Following the wedding a reception was held in the Church's Fellowship Hall. Miss Shone Jaramillo, Mrs. Burrell Thompson, Miss Donna Mr. and Mrs. Michael rites held in SL Temple Redd-Mill-er mar Miller. The ceremony was performed by Spencer W. Kimball. The bride wore a white v;. .. ' ssS V JSS V & lip J linen gown. The high bodice was edged with brocaded lace as were the sleeves and train. Her floor length veil was of bride's illusion attached to a brocaded lace flower. She carried a bridal bouquet of white carnations centered with a red throated orchid. The mother of the bride wore a lime green linen gown with a corsage of pink rosebuds dotted with baby breath and tied with green ribbon. Following the wedding the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Daryle Redd, were hosts to 40 friends and relatives at a wedding luncheon in the Junior Ballroom of the Hotel Utah. The table was in a and decorated with three large bouquets of white and yellow daisies and white mums. Dickerman of Somerville Both wore gowns of peach colored crepe made with a pleat- ed front and jackets with rounded front to accent the pleats. The bride designed the gowns for her attendants as well as her wedding gown. The attendants carried white mums with small pompons and wore peach lace tierras accented with seed pearls with demi-veil- s.
