A group of young BLUFF people from All Saints Church, Sterling, Colo., arrived on Monday, June 14, to spend a week working for the Mission. Leader of the group is the Rev. John Kuenneth, Rector of All Saints Church. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Atkins and Miss Susan Atkins are assisting Father Kuenneth- in supervising the group and are also contributing their services to the Mission. The young people earned money to finance their trip by holding a slave sale at after the parish coffee-hou- r church one Sunday. Parishioners cheerfully entered into the spirit of the occasion by buying the youngsters at around $16 a day to work for them! Brother Juniper, representing St. Christophers Mission, attended the public hearing regarding the sale of package beer on Sundays at Halls Crossing on Lake Powell. The hearing was conducted by the San Juan County Commissioners in the Court Room at Monticello on Monday, June 14. Brother Juniper stated the Missions view by opposing the package beer sale on the grounds that Navajos are still not capable of handling beer or spirits, and that if the sale were permitted in one place it would eventually be extend- ed to others. After much discussion the Commissioners said that they would make an announcement in the near future, were taken of 115 at tt.
