Highlight of the event was the presentation of the Sentinels of Safety and certificates in acknowledgement of winning the National Safety Competimetal tion for underground mines. This contest is sponsored jointly by the American Mining Congress and the United States Bureau of Mines. The Deremo is operated bv Union Carbide Nuclear Company, and is located about 5 miles west of Egnar near the Utah state line.
