Bennett visited every voting district in San Juan County last Saturday with Republican Partv workers and candidates. Sen. Bennett was to have made the tour but was called to San Francisco for a briefing on the Cuban crisis by defense and state department officials. The visit itinerary, accomplished primarily through the use of two airplanes piloted by Charles H. Redd of LaSal and Calvin Black of Bland-inincluded stops at LaSal, Mrs. M She said that Sen. Bennett has proven that he will not be stampeded into unwise, impulsive actions. The sento ator is seeking the U.S. Senate and is opposed , by present Democratic Representative David S. King. Mrs. Bennett emphasized that much of the Senators value to Utah stemmed from the respect accorded Sen. Bennett by his fellow senators because he stands on his own feet and judges each issue on its own merits without regard to political advantage or the demands of special interest groups.
