Show Society Dinner party held at country club Theater group meets; next play will be 'The Bat' Civic The Bat, a mystery play by Mary Roberts Rhinehart, has been selected for production by the Monticello Civic Theatre group. Tryouts will be held in November, with rehearsals to begin the first of the new year. Performance date Is set for early February, according to Betty McDonald, president. The theatre group met last Wednesday evening at the library to hear synopses of several plays.
